The Code will assist staff, with their executive and non-executive responsibilities by providing a clear set of principles and guidelines on standards of expected behavior.
This Organisation has a tradition of joint efforts and commitment to high ethical standards. It is the responsibility of Directors and Staff to maintain those standards.
In establishing standards of integrity and conduct for the Organisation, this Code encourages an ideal that gives Nityanand Infrastructure Ltd and its ancillary businesses, its greatest strength – a spirit of ethics in business performance. It also sends a strong message in developing a conduct for our business in reaching our goal of being a successful business conglomerate, with a uniform methodology in creating an environment of social responsibility for all stakeholders.
You are accountable to the company for your decisions and actions, and must consider issues on their merits, taking into account the views of others. This means recording reasons for decisions, submitting to scrutiny, keeping proper records, compliance to documentation and procedures, formulation of policies and activities.
You must make decisions solely on merit and in accordance with your statutory obligations when carrying out business. This includes the making of appointments, application of tenders or recommending vendors for rewards or benefits. This means fairness to all; impartial assessment; merit selection in recruitment and in purchase and sale of the organisations resources; considering only relevant matters.
You have a duty to act honestly. You must declare any private interests relating to your decision making powers, and take steps to resolve any conflicts arising in such a way that protects the organisations interests at all times. This means obeying the law; procedures; observing the code of conduct; fully disclosing actual or potential conflict of interests and exercising any conferred power strictly for the purpose for which the power was conferred.
You must treat others with respect at all times. This means not using derogatory terms towards others, observing the rights of other people, treating people with courtesy and recognising their different roles in the organisations decision-making process. Promote equality of gender, class and caste in so far as the same elevates the social responsibility of the activities in the Organisation.
